Wii Motion Plus, this title may be rather not much out of fashion, but we know it is on hot sale. On the day Nintendo released this plus accessory it had predicted what the future would be. From the product description: “Connect the Wii MotionPlus accessory to your Wii Remote controller to increase accuracy and enhance play control on compatible games.” Sounds pretty cool to Wii addicts. Well, no matter what opinions Wii MotionPlus receive, is it still worthy owning?.
From the positive side, Wii MotionPlus should probably be the enhancement of Wii Remote, offering more sensitivity to the original controller. It’s hard to make sure that whether it take effect on the old games, but one thing we have to accept is this is an improvement not a revolution. There must be enough good corresponding games follow on which can keep the MotionPlus a long-lasting life. Wii Sports Resort does so, the next one will not take long time to wait.
People opposing to this idea also get their own point of views, simple but pointed. Is it as practical as it appears in publicity? Compare with Wii Fit Balance Board, no one can guarantees to people’s reiteration game after they played it for the first time. Everything works in the same way besides the sensitivity, and there are rarely complains about the accuracy and controls of Wii Remote. Some player just speculate the Wii MotionPlus was born with Wii Remote at the same day when Wii was designed, however, Nintendo played a trick on the releasing order so the two peripherals can make boatloads of money.
We still believe in Nintendo that there will be more great megahits on Wii following the release of Wii MotionPlus no matter what rumor occurs. Even if the worst comes to the worst, no 3rd party developers set their aims on it, we still have our Mario, our Link and the countless heroes.
